There are several breeds related to the Wire and the Smooth Fox Terrier.

This website and the Fox Terrier Network are for those that own and love the purebred Wire Fox Terrier and the Smooth Fox Terrier.  However, there are several related breeds.  The Rat Terrier and the Toy Fox Terrier look enough like the Smooth Fox Terrier that they are often miss identified as Smooth Fox Terriers.  The Welsh Terrier and the Lakeland Terrier are close enough to the Wire Fox Terrier to be mistaken for it.  The Jack Russell Terrier and the Parson Russell Terrier are believed to be closely related to both.  Please check our “breed info” link on the main menu to learn more about these breeds.
